1> Today in class students made oobleck, a non-newtonian fluid and polymer! You can make it easily at home, all you need is cornstarch and water. Mix 1 and a 1/2 to 2 cups of cornstarch with a cup of water and you’ve got it! Ask your student how using plastic polymers might improve solar technology in the upcoming future!
2> We will be learning about alternative energy this week in science. Tuesday we will have a guest speaker, Stan Slaughter. Stan teaches creative options for a greener future through songs! It should be a great day and we are excited to welcome Stan to SMS!
3> Friday we will have a quiz over physics 2. It will include Newtons Laws of Motion, Non Newtonian Fluids, 2 main types of energy, 11 forms of energy, and alternative energy sources!
